Essential terms

Transport delivery note

Operational document that accompanies the goods and records the service. In public road transport it fulfils the control document role if it includes the legally required data.

Kargo digitises the transport delivery note with signature, QR and archiving.

Control document / DCA

Mandatory administrative document in public road freight transport in Spain, regulated by Order FOM/2861/2012. Must be carried on board the vehicle.

From Oct. 2026, only in digital format (DeCA).

DeCA

Electronic Administrative Control Document. Mandatory digital version of the control document per BOE-A-2026-12784: native PDF, QR, HTTPS URL.

Kargo generates DeCA compliant with the June 2026 resolution.

Waybill

Contractual document proving the transport contract domestically. Can serve as control document if it contains all data required by art. 6 FOM/2861/2012.

CMR / eCMR

CMR is the international waybill under the 1956 Convention. eCMR is its electronic version (2008 Protocol, in force in Spain since 2011).

eFTI

Electronic Freight Transport Information. EU Regulation 2020/1056 establishing digital exchange of transport information with European authorities.

Contractual shipper

Performing carrier

Party that actually carries out the transport with their vehicle and driver. Must carry and be able to present the DeCA on the road.
